Erikos
Fronted by one Kenny Lim together with two longtime chums who themselves are F&B old stagers, Erikos revved to life just last April, kicking out not exactly atypical western grub in a Bukit Batok coffee shop - hence its pretty sizeable menu which entails the most abecedarian of grilled chops, steaks, pastas and all that jazz. Outlet no.2 at Bedok North (pursued therein for a spot of lunch on the QT) snappily followed four months later.
Erikos@Bukit Batok opens daily from 11am-9.30pm, ditto Erikos@Bedok North except Mondays.
What knocked our socks off:
The Chicken Chop With Pepper Sauce had us very much head over heels: leviathan chickaroo slab channelling artfully marinated and debonair tenderness, whilst basil-tinged spaghetti laying sub rosa vibed pleasantly pliable. Rather filling in itself we gotta admit; accompanying pepper sauce was dismayingly bog-standard though.
Chicken Chop With Pepper Sauce ($8.50)
Other item(s) sampled but turned out to be non-event(s):
Carbonara ($7.90)
Grilled Norwegian Salmon With Teriyaki Sauce ($13)
