Li Jie De Dian

The woman behind fifty-seater, aqua cyan-laved luncheonette Li Jie De Dian (literally translated as Sister Li's store) off Ang Mo Kio Street 43 - Fujian native Li Xuee, ain't no tenderfoot to Singapore's enervating food and beverage death steeplechase; she had 1.5 decades earlier racked up franchiser JJ Food Express brick by brick with husband John Ong, today queening over thirty-odd foodcourt stalls which spew an ennui of ersatz Japanese/Korean/God-knows-what-else tucker.

Li Jie De Dian came to fruition more latterly on 23 July 2023, entreating nearby residents through chintzily priced parochial eats like chwee kueh, century egg pork porridge, laksa, braised meat rice amidst others (those dining in may enjoy a complimentary hot beverage of choice too).

Li Jie De Dian operates daily from 8am-9.30pm.

What knocked our socks off:

Signature Laksa ($6)

Other item(s) sampled but turned out to be non-event(s):

Braised Meat Rice ($6.60)
